The Barracuda Story
Even though i don't remember the origin of this story it fascinates me to no end.
The story of the Barracuda
A hungry fish (a Barracuda) in an aquarium on one side of an invisible glass partition, sights some yummy food on the other side of the tank. With great speed it takes off to get it Bang! It hits its face on the great glass divide. Stunned the barracuda tries again, a hungry fish is an angry fish Bang! "What invisible force can be preventing me from satisfying my hunger?" Again and again Bang! Bang! Bang! The Barracuda gives up, "that food is not for me....
As the Barracuda slept, one fateful day; the invisible partition was removed. Clearly it was time for the hungry and once angry fish to get its food. But the fish looked on and made no move. A hand prodded and a voice prompted, but the fish shrugged, "that food is not for me." Death drew close but still the fish heard no other inner voice except "that food is not for me."
Familiar? There comes a time when it is time for change. May God make this our time and may we find the grace to go for our inheritance.
